When Life Feels Monontonous, Throw Yourself a 2-Person Tea Party

Sometimes it can be hard to find joy in the every day routine. For me when life feels hard or my day-to-day starts to feel stale, I like to create something to look forward to.

So that’s why with the Bridgerton season 3 part 1 premiere, my friend Lauren and I decided to make a little themed celebration, complete with cute snacks, drinks, and decor. We both contributed fun munchies, with Lauren providing her mom’s beautiful tea set, flowers, candles, macarons and 3-tiered tea cake stand. Even though it was just going to be the 2 of us, we both really got into the theme and went all-out with the decor (I even put together a bright floral-themed outfit).

There’s just something fun about making what could be an ordinary binge-watch into an event. It makes life feel more colorful and vibrant, even if it’s just for an afternoon.

Here’s what we both contibuted to this cute little 2-person tea party:

  • Lauren made a gorgeous lavender spritz cocktail from the Boozy Ginger complete with adorable ice cubes with dried flower petals in them

  • Lauren provided scones with homemade clotted cream (delish)

  • Lauren made cucumber finger sandwiches with fresh dill which were so cute!!

  • I made my favorite earl gray rea shortbread cookies, a long time favorite of mine that some friends of mine made for a spring time tea party a few years ago

  • I made this strawberry, pistachio & goat cheese salad from How Sweet Eats. The champagne vinaigrette was one of the best things about it!

Have you thought about making a themed day for a watch party or other event? Let me know, I’m always looking for new ideas and ways to be creative.
